Read Across America
We had a great time this week celebrating "Read Across America Week" in honor of Dr. Seuss. We had a door decorating contest and we worked hard on our door. We entitled it: "Hands Down: We Love Dr. Seuss." Then we painted our hands and created The Cat in the Hat's Hat. We didn't win but we enjoyed this project. Then we took a tour of our school and saw all of the awesome doors- way to go Keowee teachers and students!

Pumpkins
Well, I am finally back up and running with our Blog। I love technology but sometimes it can be frustrating। Everytime I tried to write an entry I couldn't write in इंग्लिश. Very strange but.....here we go with some long awaited pictures. In October I asked some dads to come in and help carve pumpkins. We got a great response and the kids had a great time. But on the Friday that most of them came- it was freezing outside and raining so I'm sure the dads will remember it as well. Here are some great pictures from our "freezing" experience!

First Day of Fall
We celebrated the first day of fall today with a song. Thanks to Mrs. Horton for including us. She invited all of kindergarten to sing and "stomp" a nut:)
I'm a little acorn round.
laying on the cold cold ground.
People come and step on me
that is why I'm a nut you see.
